Procedure

  1. Lightly toast the walnuts, and then crush them roughly.
  2. Prepare a 7 x 7 inch baking pan or glass pan by greasing it and then lining it with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang of around an inch on all four sides or at least 2 sides.
  3. Pour the condensed milk into a large glass or ceramic bowl. Add in the butter. Then heat this in the microwave on full power for 1 minute and 15 seconds.
  4. Add the grated chocolate to the bowl and stir the contents to melt the chocolate. If all the chocolate doesn’t melt, pop the bowl back into the microwave oven for around 15 seconds more. The exact time required for melting all the chocolate will depend on the wattage of your microwave oven.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and the crushed walnuts. Mix everything well.
  6. Transfer the chocolate mix to the prepared pan. Level the top and let it cool to room temperature. Then cover it with some cling wrap or aluminium foil and chill it in the fridge for 3 – 4 hours or till the fudge is firm.
  7. Take the fudge out of the pan and cut it into squares.

Enjoy!
