Traditional Goan rice polle. You could say they\u2019re soft and flavourful Goan rice and coconut dosas or crepes. To make Goan polle, you need just a handful or ingredients, and maybe a little practice. Believe me, they\u2019re not difficult to make at all.<\/p>\n<p>Not just that, Goan polle would make a tasty change from our regular bread, rotis or chapatis too. You definitely should give making these a shot. And also check out my <a href=\"https:\/\/veenapatwardhan.com\/pat-a-cake\/2021\/07\/10\/glutenfreeoatuttapamsoatdosas\/\">gluten-free oat uttapams and oat dosas.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZBEKCOSSYk8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u00be cup rice<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc cup grated coconut<\/p>\n<p>3 tbsp cooked rice<\/p>\n<p>\u00be tsp salt<\/p>\n<p>1 \u00bd tbsp sugar<\/p>\n<p>\u00be cup + 2 tbsp + \u00bc cup water<\/p>\n<p>A little oil<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-424\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/veenapatwardhan.com\/pat-a-cake\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Goan-polle.jpg?resize=500%2C400&ssl=1\" alt=\"goan polle\" width=\"500\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/veenapatwardhan.com\/pat-a-cake\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Goan-polle.jpg?w=500&ssl=1 500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/veenapatwardhan.com\/pat-a-cake\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Goan-polle.jpg?resize=300%2C240&ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Procedure<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Wash and soak the rice in water (about \u00bd inch above the level of the rice), overnight or for at least two hours.<\/li>\n<li>After soaking it, drain the rice, rinse it with water, and drain it again.<\/li>\n<li>Grind it in a mixer-grinder along with the grated coconut, cooked rice, and \u00be cup water.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the batter to a bowl or vessel. Rinse the mixer jar with around 2 tbsp of water and add this too to the batter. Mix in the salt and sugar.<\/li>\n<li>Let the batter rest for 1 to 2 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Thin the batter by adding around \u00bc cup water to it.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a non-stick man with the heat on medium-high. When it\u2019s hot enough, drizzle a few drops of oil on it and spread the oil over it with a paper towel.<\/li>\n<li>Pour a little less than \u00bd cup of the batter on the pan and tilt the pan slightly to spread the batter to a diameter of around 8 inches. After bubbles start appearing all over the batter, cover the pan and reduce the heat to low. Let the crepe cook for around 1 \u00bd minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Take off the lid from the pan, and let the crepe cook for another 30 secs or so to let it cook thoroughly. Remove it to a plate. Let it cool for around a minute and then fold it once to form a semicircle or twice to form a quarter circle.<\/li>\n<li>The polle can be eaten just as they are or with a chutney of your choice, vegetables or meat curries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Enjoy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tasty Goan polle, rice and coconut crepes Here\u2019s yet another tasty gluten-free recipe for you.
