Follow the step-by-step instructions in this video and you could make soft and delicious oat uttapams and oat dosas for breakfast, lunch, or any meal of the day.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned at the start, both these recipes are gluten-free, so you won&#8217;t find rava or any form of wheat in the ingredients. But you could make your own toppings, vegetarian or even non-vegetarian and thus vary the taste of your instant oat dosas and oat uttapams.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/smMOionyepw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em><strong>Instant Oat Uttapams<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00be cup oats (rolled or quick-cooking)<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc cup rice flour<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc cup yogurt<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp crushed ginger<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp ground cumin<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tsp pepper powder<\/p>\n<p>\u00be tsp salt<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp green chilli finely chopped<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp lime juice<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tsp baking soda (optional)<\/p>\n<p>3 tbsp grated carrot<\/p>\n<p>3 tbsp finely cut capsicum<\/p>\n<p>3 tbsp finely cut tomato<\/p>\n<p>3 tbsp chopped coriander<\/p>\n<p>3 tbsp finely cut onion<\/p>\n<p>A little oil<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Instant Oat Dosas<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00bc cup oats (rolled or quick-cooking)<\/p>\n<p>2 tbsp rice flour<\/p>\n<p>1 tbsp yogurt<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tsp crushed ginger<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tsp ground cumin<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tsp finely cut green chilli<\/p>\n<p>\u2153 tsp salt<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc tsp pepper powder<\/p>\n<p>A little oil<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Procedure<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>Instant Oat Uttapams<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Mix the oat flour, yogurt, and 1 cup of water. Cover and set aside for at least 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Mix in around 2 tbsp of water, the rice flour, salt, pepper, crushed ginger, ground cumin, chopped green chilli, lime juice, and finally, the baking soda.<\/li>\n<li>Mix all the chopped veggies to prepare the topping.<\/li>\n<li>Spread a few drops of oil on a heated griddle or non-stick pan with the heat on medium.<\/li>\n<li>Add two ladles of batter to the hot pan. Spread it a little. Reduce the heat to medium-low.<\/li>\n<li>Spread some of the topping on the batter and press it down lightly with the back of a spatula.<\/li>\n<li>Cover the pan and let the oat uttapam cook for a couple of minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle a little oil around the uttapam and on top of it. Flip the uttapam and cook the other side for around a minute.<\/li>\n<li>Flip it again and remove the instant oat uttapam to a plate. Cover and keep aside for minimum 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Mix in \u00bc cup of water and the rice flour and the other ingredients except the oil.<\/li>\n<li>Next, add an additional \u00bc cup of water or a little more to thin the batter to a loose flowing consistency.<\/li>\n<li>Spread a few drops of oil on a heated griddle or non-stick pan with the heat on medium.<\/li>\n<li>Pour 2-3 ladles of the batter in the centre of the hot pan. Tilt the pan to spread the batter. Or pour the batter and spread it a little with the back of the ladle, moving it in a circular motion. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the oat dosa cook till the under surface is medium brown in colour.<\/li>\n<li>Flip the dosa and cook the other side for a few seconds.<\/li>\n<li>Flip the instant oat dosa again and remove it to a plate.
