Not to mention, tastier.<\/p>\n<p>This cardamom banana bread is a soft, moist, and sweet cake-like bread. You could even call it a banana cake. And it\u2019s quick and easy to make. Call it an eggless banana bread or eggless banana cake, it\u2019s the kind of dessert you\u2019ll love to make again and again.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/I2qdhdDkL4s\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>2 fully ripe bananas<\/p>\n<p>1 cup (125g) maida (all-purpose flour)<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd cup (65g) atta (whole wheat flour)<\/p>\n<p>\u00be cup (165g) fine sugar or coarsely ground granulated sugar<\/p>\n<p>\u2153 cup (5 \u00bd tbsp) oil<\/p>\n<p>4 tbsp yogurt<\/p>\n<p>\u2153 cup minus 2 tsp (approx. 5 tbsp) milk<\/p>\n<p>1 \u00bd tsp ground cardamom (or 1 tsp grated nutmeg)<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp baking powder<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tsp baking soda<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc tsp salt<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc cup (4 tbsp) chopped walnuts or almonds<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-341\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/veenapatwardhan.com\/pat-a-cake\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Cardamom-Banana-Cake.jpg?resize=500%2C400&ssl=1\" alt=\"cardamom banana cake\" width=\"500\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/veenapatwardhan.com\/pat-a-cake\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Cardamom-Banana-Cake.jpg?w=500&ssl=1 500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/veenapatwardhan.com\/pat-a-cake\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Cardamom-Banana-Cake.jpg?resize=300%2C240&ssl=1 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Procedure<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Sift the two flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.<\/li>\n<li>Mash the bananas with a fork as well as you can.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, whip the sugar, yogurt, and oil with a spatula.<\/li>\n<li>Add the mashed bananas and ground cardamom.<\/li>\n<li>Fold in the flour mix in two batches alternating with the milk. Add only enough milk to get a loose dropping consistency batter. (I needed 2 tsp less than 1\/3 cup.)<\/li>\n<li>Stir in the chopped walnuts.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the batter to a greased and parchment paper-lined loaf pan (8.5\u2033 x 4.5\u2033). Tap lightly to level the surface of the batter.
