Between husbands and wives – Part 2

Have you laughed lately?

chaplin the best medicine

“You don’t stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing.”  Famous words from Michael Pritchard, the humorous motivational speaker, and they pack quite a punch. So don’t forget to have a good laugh now and then. It works better than any other medicine.

Chuckling over the ups and downs along the road called marriage

Married or not, we all need regular doses of the best medicine to stay sane in an age of high-stress lifestyles. Humour is such a wonderful thing, and so I wanted to send this post out into cyberspace on Valentine’s Day, hoping to add a few chuckles to your celebrations, and to remind those who have already tied themselves in knots that for most marriages, the going would be rough if husbands and wives didn’t look for humour in their day-to-day life together.

Anyway, here it is now, albeit a day late – my selection of husband and wife jokes picked from my favourite cartoon strip – The Lockhorns. Enjoy!

The compilation is great. Good short laugh’s emanating from everyone’s personal experiences, and kind of takes the edge out of o’wise serious situations. Thank you Veena.

Thanks for visiting Danny, and glad you enjoyed the cartoons. As for the Lockhorns (love the pun in the name!), you’re so right about couples being able to relate to their silly tiffs. Laughing at these two reminds us to lighten up, and not’lock horns’ over every little issue or slip-up either.

Wish I had reconnected with you long back. But better late than never. Keep up the good work, and the good humour. For my information, kindly let me know where I could read Part 1.

Nice post, Veena. Haven’t seen the Lockhorns in ages. Can identify with so many of the cartoons now.

    • Veena Patwardhan says:

Ha, ha! Married folks saying they can relate to the Lockhorns is what made the cartoon a classic. Who knew when we were laughing our guts out at the Lockhorns in our single days, we could find ourselves in similar silly situations after getting hitched, no?
But thanks for dropping by Annie, and glad you enjoyed the post.
